This is an original painting
16x16” Acrylic on panel
The squatty, knobby Ankylosaurus meaning ‘fused lizard’ was discovered in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana in 1906. Some indigenous flowers to this area are also in this painting like the Blue Bachelor Button, Bitterroot, Spotted Knapweed, Scarlet Gilia, and Blanketflower. Ankylosaurus was basically an alligator and a giant armadillo meshed into one.
